NONCLASSICAL
London's longest-running 'classical club night', Nonclassical has hosted hundreds of broad-minded classical musicians since its inception in 2003, including well-established names such as composer Tansy Davies and percussionist Joby Burgess as well as emerging talents from all over the world.
Typically, short sets of 10-20 minutes are interspersed with DJ sets from hosts Gabriel Prokofiev and Richard Lannoy. Live sets focus on contemporary and modernist classical music, while DJ sets also embrace techno, hip-hop, and glitch, often featuring remixes released by the Nonclassical label. Entry is normally around the £5 mark.
