ACNI - Travel Awards - Arts Council of Northern Ireland

These awards enable individual artists and established music groups (up to 4 members) to travel from Northern Ireland to develop their skills and expertise. Applicants must provide evidence that they have been invited by a host organisation in the country to which they intend to travel.

Arts Council of Ireland Travel and Training Award

Awarded by Arts Council of Ireland, the fund is twofold: Travel and Training Outbound supports individuals who wish to avail of training and other professional development opportunities abroad; and Travel and Training Inbound supports individuals or organizations who wish to invite specialists from abroad to deliver high-level training or mentoring. Individual applicants must have been born in, or be a resident in, the Republic of Ireland, and can be awarded up to €12,000.

Scottish Arts Council Professional Development Fund

Grants of up to £2,000 are available to those working at a professional level in the arts in Scotland to undertake short-term or one-off training programmes (not full-time study), travel, research, masterclasses, etc.  Applicants must be over the age of 16. Support is also available to organisations for arts projects, capital projects (buildings, equipment and artists' work in public places), organisational development, and research and development.

The Seary Charitable Trust

The Trust offers financial assistance, ranging from £500 to £10,000, as well as provides clothing, instruments or books to individuals leaving school, university or other educational establishment to prepare them for, or assist their entry, into a musical career. Applications are welcomed at any time, and The Trustees meet to adjudicate on applications about three times per year.
