Summer School for Young Composers and Creative Musicians
Taking place every August, this week long residential for young composers aged 14 - 18 from across the country is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in creativity learning with the support of professional composers and musicians. Listen Imagine Compose
Listen Imagine Compose has been exploring how composing is taught and learned in secondary schools since 2010. It supports secondary music teachers through research, symposia, resources and Continuing Professional Development including a new year-long course that has an option for accreditation starting in September 2016. Go Compose! is a national initiative to provide progression pathways for young composers who would like to do more creating of new music. We work in partnership with hubs, festivals, venues and composers across the country to create local opportunities. Find out more here.

Sound and Music is an Arts Award Supporter. This means we welcome and support young people who are working towards their Arts Award and participating in one of Sound and Music’s projects could contribute towards it.
