New Voices

New Voices will develop into a programme, along with the Shortlist, where outstanding creative talent in the UK can be developed into world class creators of new music and sound.
New Voices

Details

New Voices is an initiative conceived by BMIC in 1999 to provide a sustainable model of support for leading young composers otherwise unrepresented by publishers or record companies. It is aimed at giving emerging talent a higher profile in the music profession as well as the general public.

This programme is being evaluated and will develop, along with other professional development initiatives brought forward by the founding organisations of Sound and Music, into a coherent programme of artist support.

Application

The application process is open annually and the next application round will be announced in the autumn 2009 with the launch of Sound and Music's new pofessional development programmes.
