For their advent concert, London Concord Singers will be performing Advent music Ancient and Modern. The programme ranges from Keith Roberts Veni, a recent setting of the great O Anthems, and Jonathan Dove's evocative I am the Day, a combination of one of the O Anthems with the Legend of St. Christopher, through to a group of early motets. There will also be stops along the way to take in some of Mendelssohn's late motets, written for Berlin cathedral.
