Philip is a pianist who specialises in performing experimental music, both notated and improvised. As a soloist he has premiered many works and is particularly known for his performances of American experimental music (Cage, Feldman, Wolff) and British music. He performs regularly with UK-based group 'Apartment House'. He is based in Sheffield and lectures in music at the University of Huddersfield.
