Information

Hi, my name is Ashley. I have been working with Sound and Music to produce some web content including two online documentaries: 'Sound in Context' (2009) and 'Engaging with Sound' (2010). I also research on emerging digital media practices in the arts and cultural industries. I some times produce work under an independent project called LOUDSPKR and a new research collective called DOXA.

I grew up in Canada, studied Digital Image/Sound and the Fine Arts in Montreal, worked in Hong Kong at a media art space called Videotage and have recently completed an MA in Culture Industry at Goldsmiths University of London. I have a background in DIY music promotion, which evolved into exploring platforms for sound and experimental music, producing multi-disciplinary events, working on film projects and generating critical research on the role of arts/culture in the broader social sphere. I'm interested in creative possibilities of community and collaboration, as well as, the development of the arts and the new implications and possibilities of digital technology.
