The University of Manchester hosts a huge range of exciting contemporary music events in our purpose-built concert hall in the Martin Harris Centre: arguably the finest acoustic for chamber music in the North West. We host concerts by some of the world's finest ensembles and soloists, including the Quatuor Danel and Psappha, alongside exciting events given by Vaganza (the university's new music ensemble) and MANTIS (Manchester Theatre in Sound). The University of Manchester is also one of the most stimulating places in the UK to study composition, with 6 full-time staff teaching composition and outstanding performance opportunities for student composers.
