Profiles
Highly motivated electro-acoustic composer and installation artist looking to gain more experience within the professional art world. I have recently finished my first solo exhibition for the Jersey Arts Centre, and am looking for more opportunities to display my work. Am keen to collaborate within the world of fine art, sculpture, theatre and public art by incorporating appropriate sound compositions giving work a multisensory aspect.
As well as a BA in Sonic Art, I have experience working with young people as for the past 18 months I was a voluntary sessional youth worker at La Mottee Street Youth Centre in Jersey, Channel Islands. While there I held themed new music evenings and helped manage the rehearsal rooms and recording studio used by the local young bands. I also was the resident artist giving informal chats with the young people about my work, and different forms of expression through sound, music, and other new media. Along with informal youth work, I was a board member of the Jersey Arts Centre Exhibition Sub Committee where as a committee we reviewed proposals and portfolios of work from artists who wished to exhibit their work with the Centre.
Overall, I am a keen, enthusiastic and open minded sound artist in need for new experiences to broaden my perception of this world and the niche my work will lead me to find. Please do not hesitate to contact me, as I am welcome to any opportunities.
