Update is the most comprehensive source of information about the marginal, weird, electronic and experimental music that is being made and performed in Scotland at the moment.

There are well established means by which people can find out about or promote indie, dance, metal, traditional, etc., music in Scotland. But what about all of the music that resists classification, that comes from a set of traditions that are not so widely shared, or which is just plain weird? This website brings together all of the people in Scotland who spend their time making, listening to, promoting, selling, teaching, and inquiring about this music that doesn't quite fit anywhere else.

You can use the listings to find out about marginal music artists, labels, promoters and other organisations. You can also submit your own entry to the listings. Finally, you can use our unique and comprehensive events guide to find out about all of the relevant events that are taking place in Scotland over the next few weeks.
