Information
I am currently Head of Music at a West London prep school. I trained on classical organ under Alan Bartlett and learnt recorder and violin at school. I taught keyboard privately for ten years and worked as a pianist for a children’s dance studio in Brighton. I graduated from the University of Brighton in 1997 with a 2.1 in Music with Visual Practice. During this period, I produced experimental slide-shows accompanied by studio recordings and participated in the International Festival of Live Art at the Sallis Benney Theatre. I went on to train as a music teacher at Oxford Brookes under Dr Sarah Maidlow before relocating to London to work as a transmission librarian for MTV. I retrained as a primary teacher and have an MA in Art Education (Lond). School-teaching experience covers eight years during which I’ve coordinated numerous expressive arts events. I also enjoy creative writing; with verse published in Quartz, Interlude & 20x20.
