Kassian Sheppard is a sonic artist currently working and living in Wales. In his creative work Kassian constructs immersive and active listening experiences in which a deeper level of engagement and appreciation of sound can occur. Kassian at present works primarily with electronic sound, accessing a wide array of frequencies and textures in order to create full and rich ‘sonic environments’ into which the listener can enter. Kassian’s theoretical interests are concerned with exploring the deeper connection between sound and consciousness.
Currently, Kassian’s research is exploring modalities of listening, Cymatics, and creating a multi-channel diffusion immersive listening environment.
