Sound and Music

Martin Iddon (b. 1975, Manchester) studied musicology and composition at the Universities of Durham and Cambridge with Fabrice Fitch and Robin Holloway (composition) and John Butt and Ian Cross (musicology). He has also studied composition privately with Steve Martland, Chaya Czernowin and Steven Kazuo Takasugi, and is an SPNM shortlisted composer. His music has been performed in Germany, the USA and Great Britain. He is also an active musicologist, and has published numerous articles and book chapters, mainly focussing on the Darmstadt New Music Courses.
