Robert Hugill is a London-based composer of contemporary classical music and is artistic director of FifteenB. His sacred music has been performed in a number of UK churches. His opera, Garrett, based on Coni Koepfinger's play, was premièred in London in 2001 by FifteenB. FifteenB have also performed Robert's music regularly at the Chelsea Festival. A CD of Robert's music, The Testament of Dr. Cranmer, performed by the eight:fifteen vocal ensemble, conductor Paul Brough, was released in 2008.
Performances
He looked at me came 3rd in the the English Poetry and Song Society's A.E. Houseman competition in Feb 2009. The Woodward Scale was commissioned by London Concord Singers and performed by them in London in May and July 2009. Alistair Dixon and La Chappelle du Roi will be premiering a new motet at the concert on December 19th 2009 at St. John's Smith Square
