Ensemble Expose,

EnsembleExposé is a professional ensemble dedicated to the performance of new and experimental music. It was formed in 1984 by the composers Richard Barrett, Roger Redgate and Michael Finnissy and has since established a reputation for its commitment to presenting the most challenging of contemporary music. The ensemble has assembled an international membership of virtuoso musicians and a repertoire whose power and directness is matched by its lack of intellectual compromise. Catherine Beynon, harp

Catherine Beynon began playing the harp at the age of eight, and attended both the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London and then completed her studies at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Lyon with Fabrice Pierre. She is an enthusiastic chamber musician and has performed across Europe and Japan with distinguished artists such as Quatuor Debussy, Francois Le Roux and the Lindsay String Quartet. Catherine has given solo recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Fairfield Halls and St Martin-in–the-Fields, and in 1997 made her BBC Prom debut (…more)

Inigo Alonso, bass clarinet

Iñigo Alonso was born in Vitoria, Spain, in 1970. After finishing his studies in Spain, he attended the Royal Flemish Conservatory, Antwerp, where he studied with Walter Boeykens and Jan Guns, obtaining the highest distinctions. He was then awarded a scholarship to study with Andrew Marriner, principal Clarinet of the LSO, and completed a postgraduate diploma at the Royal Academy of Music. A keen player of contemporary music, Iñigo has been a member of the Aquarius Ensemble, Champ d’action, the Composers Ensemble and the New Music Players.
