If Wet... in your village hall

If Wet... in your village hall
21 - 29 June

The pioneering ‘If Wet’ series will go on a national tour in 2014 in partnership with Sound and Music, the national agency for new music.

Musical instrument designers MortonUnderwood have run If Wet since April 2013. The first season was a great success, with a series of remarkable sound artists and musicians  presenting their work to an attentive and engaged audience; complemented by home-made soup and village ale in a village hall in rural Worcestershire.

With support from artists and publications word spread and interest was piqued. People kept asking whether there were plans to host If Wets in other venues; somewhere nearer to them. The answer is: Yes.

2014 started with a series of satellite events at Flatpack Festival, Southbank Centre and Supersonic Festival (in May). Over the last two weekends of June If Wet will tour four village halls, ending in its home of Callow End Village Hall.

This tour is supported by Sound and Music as part of the 2014/15 touring programme, find out more about the tours we're supporting here.
