SAM/EMS

SAM is collaborating with the legendary EMS studios in Stockholm in the creation of two new works for cello and electronics. In July composers Zbigniew Karkowski and Helena Gough and cellist Anton Lukoszevieze will fly out to take up residences at the studios where work will begin on these new pieces.

The premier of the concert length Karkowski/Lukoszevieze collaboration will be presented as part of a SAM showcase at the Norberg Festival in Sweden 28 - 30 July. Helena Gough will also give a live set as part of this event.

There will be a chance for British audiences to hear this new work at The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival on the 22 November.  CD releases of both the Gough (Entr'acte) and Karkowski (Sub Rosa) are planned for early 2012. The Helena Gough release will be launched at a special event at Cafe Oto early next year.
