Ten Days Six Nights marks a new departure in the concept of the art exhibition: from a static presentation to an experience of art that unfolds through time.

Situated in the Tanks, the first BMW Tate Live Exhibition brings together an intergenerational selection of artists that have been invited to stage their work as a space that extends a form of hospitality or community, to other artists and visitors alike. The artists create images of networks and forms of participation that link natural environment with social media, organic and technological, human and non-human.

Ten Days Six Nights extends outside to the new South Terrace animating the landscape outside the Switch House for the first time.

Four newly commissioned works by Fujiko NakayaIsabel LewisCAMP, and Fred Moten and Wu Tsang exist as both free daytime installations and spring-boards for six unmissable evenings of ticketed live performances. Participating artists include Melanie BonajoCarlos CasasIan ChengLigia LewisPaul MahekePhill NiblockEmily RoysdonDaïchi SaïtoLorenzo SenniPepa Ubera and Josefina Camus, and Ian Wilsonamong others.

Davvy hosts an ‘Occasion’ bringing music, dance, food and drink to the Tanks. For the duration of the exhibition, Lewis is in residence in the foyer of the Tanks galleries transforming the subterranean space and establishing a platform for conversation, contemplation, and dancing.
