Born in Venice in 1972, Rusconi developed an early interest in both classical and contemporary music. He studied first under the supervision of his grandfather, outstanding first violin under Toscanini. He graduated from Padova Conservatory in Composition and Choir Conducting and Church Music, numbering among his principal teachers Wolfango Dalla Vecchia, Adriano Guarnieri and Alvise Vidolin for electronic music. Rusconi subsequently went to Austria and then the UK where he joined masterclasses and residencies with some of the most important composers of our time, from Luca Francesconi to Beat Furerr. He was resident composer at Akademie fur Neue Musik und Audio Art Innsbruck, Settimane Musicali di Stresa. He won several international prizes including 2 Agosto, Castello di Belveglio and Valentino Bucchi. In 1994 he moved to the UK where he now lives and works as a freelance producer and composer and teaches private students. He is currently Artistic Director of Intrasonus Festival in Venice. In 2008 he joined the SPNM shortlist. The Rusconi catalogue includes a wide number of acclaimed chamber and ensemble works, but he is also known for his electronic music productions also known as Kryon released by Hard Leaders London and Timing Records Berlin. His music has been played by Rohan de Saram, Garth Knox and David Alberman, Uli Fussenegger, Jack Quartett and Trio Fibonacci, Interensemble and Smash Ensemble. He also worked with Billy Hart, Cameron Brown and Ursula Rucker to record a production of his own supported by Unicef: the CD “Blue Gold” on the worldwide water shortage issue. At the moment he is writing commissions for Klangforum Wien, Counterchamps, Calefax Reed Quintet, MCME, Pascal Galois, GABE, Duo Notabene.
