The BMIC, Contemporary Music Network, Sonic Arts Network and spnm are Sound and Music's founder organisations. They are no longer active, so you can't find them at their old addresses and their websites are no longer updated, but many of their programmes and services will be continued and developed by us. You can contact us for any information regarding the founder organisations from now on.

Priority at the moment is to ensure the current collection is accessible as soon as possible.
A new acquisitions policy will be in place by later this year, when we look forward to accepting new material.
The collection is available for consultation within the Music Library at the University of Huddersfield and can be accessed by making a weekday appointment. The collection is made available for reference only and cannot be loaned or removed from the library. Access is open to the general public, as well as university staff and students.

You can use our catalogue to guide you in obtaining hard-copy score materials. If you wish to obtain a copy of a score for performance, you should contact the artist and/or publisher directly. If in doubt, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Please note that the British Music Collection cannot supply copies of recordings, for reasons of copyright.
