Dynamic and expressive saxophonist and composer Bret Kean makes his Pizza Express debut tonight and leads his all-star exciting quartet through a repertoire of free-flowing contemporary original compositions, arrangement of classic standards and fiery solo improvisations.
Bret has firmly established himself as a distinctive jazz voice on the UK scene as he tips his hat to the masters of the past and continually forges forward to create his own new contemporary sound, and can be found performing with the UK’s distinguished artistes in leading venues and festivals.
The evening will feature the quartet performing tracks from Bret’s first CD, A Distant Call, as well as tracks for the forthcoming new autumn release.
