Prom 29 - National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain
Date: Saturday 4 August Venue: Royal Albert Hall, London The Proms continue to deliver some thrilling contemporary music. The National Youth Orchestra performs Messiaen and Varèse alongside exciting new works by Nico Muhly and Anna Meredith, the latter’s acclaimed HandsFree employing every sound available from the NYO’s stunning players except their instruments. Guest previewer - David Horne
David Horne is a composer, pianist and educator; he is a Lecturer at the Royal Northern College of Music. His latest work, Virtuosic Instruments will be premiered by the RLPO’s Ensemble 10/10 in November 2012.
