A message from our artists

Essentials Fund: Round Three — Applications now open

We’re delighted to announce that applications for Round Three of the Essentials Fund are now open, with grants of £300–£600 available to support composers and music creators across the UK. The Essentials Fund provides small grants to help you develop your practice through purchasing equipment, accessing training or mentoring, recording your work, or covering other essential costs related to your composing practice.

ISCM World New Music Days 2026 — British Section Shortlist Announced

Following a competitive application process, the ISCM British Section Board have selected the 6 composers who will be submitted to the ISCM International Jury for consideration.

Medulasa: In Motion (Cathedrals of Sound Q&A)

We’re excited to share Cathedrals of Sound: Remaking the Gothic — the official In Motion 2024 outcome by electronic music artist Medulasa. This public video series reimagines the Gothic in music from a contemporary electronic perspective, while documenting the creation of a new album (and, ambitiously, a new sub-genre) with live audience feedback.

The Seed Award is a targeted package of support, including coaching sessions and a small bursary to enable artists to research and develop a particular project or take the next step in their creative journey. The selected artists exemplify the innovative spirit and artistic excellence that we strive to support. They are: Ailie Ormston, Amble Skuse, Angelica Allen, Delyth Field, Eliete Mejorado, Lisa Meech, Michiel Turner and Yasmin Rai.
