Data Gazing Trilogy

We are very excited to announce that we will be teaming up with celebrated information design agency Signal Noise for Creative Data Club  Data Gazing Trilogy - a series of special future-focused data events.

We will be bringing our signature blend of creative speakers to brand new venues across the capital, alongside a special event in Manchester, as part of our Data Gazing Trilogy beginning this autumn.

Data Gazing brings together artists, scientists, agencies, designers, marketers, programmers and even the odd data cynic to listen, present, debate and be inspired by creative data.

All the events in the trilogy are completely free, so join us on a creative expedition across a variety of topics, from predicting the future to addressing the issues around diversity today.

About Creative Data Club

Creative Data Club is a platform for artists, scientists, agencies, designers, marketers, programmers and even the odd data cynic to listen, debate and be inspired by data and creativity. We bring together a handful of speakers from different backgrounds to share their thoughts and experiences, exploring the expanding world of data with the likes of Sam Aaron, creator of Sonic Pi, Sandy Black from the London School of Fashion and Jay Short from design agency Inition.

Creative Data Club x Signal Noise: The Power of Prediction

Tuesday 20th September

First up this September we’ll be heading back to Shoreditch for London Design Festival to discuss the finer points of prediction alongside Signal Noise’s exhibition, Place Your Bets.

We are now entering the next stage of the data revolution, from the data we collect we are beginning to develop technologies to help us predict the future. From the rise of Trump in the US against all odds, to the oddly accurate prediction of celebrity deaths through football goals, 2016 has been an unusual year.

Are we using data in the wrong way, or is the data we’re using incorrect?

Speakers include:

Anders Petterson: --- --- @ArtTactic

Kasia --- @olygamy

Mick Grierson: --- --- @goldcomputing ---@BronzeMuzic

Data Gazing Manchester Special

Creative Data Club X DM 16: Design. Data. Diversity.

Tuesday 18th October

In October we will be teaming up with our friends at Design Manchester to bring creative data right to the heart of the Northern Quarter and to our host venue Texture.

Diversity is the celebration of our uniqueness, but in many situations it’s not present, it’s not valued and it’s often ignored. From arts to tech to boards to government, sections of our global community are missing.

How can we move past homogeny into a more representative future?
