Summer School 2015
Summer School 2015
Take over: Sat 2nd - 8th August

Our Summer School gives young composers the opportunity to work with composers and musicians from a wide variety of musical traditions, from classical and jazz to world and new media.

From life-changing musical experiences to life-long friendships, there’s so much young people can get out of the course, which takes place at the Purcell School

Summer School is an annual, week-long residential held at the Purcell School. It is the only residential course of its kind and is full of collaboration, fun, learning and creativity. The composers spend the week developing their artistic voice and compositional technique, exploring different ways of making music before producing a piece which is performed and recorded at the end of the week.

For more information on our Summer School programme visit:

"The Purcell School exists to provide young musicians of exceptional promise and talent with the best possible teaching and environment in which to fulfil their potential, irrespective of their background."

This year we will be following the story of our Summer School both online via the hashtags #summerschool #takeover & via our on site blog:

So keep up to date with the story as it unfolds.
