Excited to launch an open call for composers who would like to contribute sketchbook excerpts  or related material to the upcoming exhibition „thinking of sound“ in HilbertRaum (Berlin) curated by Ruth Wiesenfeld. The central theme of this exhibition will be the inquiry of a composer’s mind. How do you visualize your ideas/concepts/images or the passing of sound when you are developing a new piece? What do you write/draw/scribble/notate during the process of composing? How do you transform the intangible aspects of sonic imagination to something more palpable before the final notation takes place? Please send your submission as PDF or in a common image format supported by a short explanation of the context to ruth.wiesenfeld@stockwerke.com until June 30. A selection will be made until July 2nd. In the exhibition the original works will be presented. The exhibition will run from July 31 - August 9 with limited access following the social distancing rules.
